PROBLEM STATEMENT:
Iran's mining industry is a significant sector that contributes to the country's economy. To showcase the industry's potential and attract international investors, an installation art piece got developed for the Expo 2020 Dubai. The installation aims to engage visitors, provide educational content, and highlight the various mining resources available in Iran.

Concept:

This installation will combine Iran's rich geological diversity with the concept of endless reflections, drawing inspiration from Yayoi Kusama's iconic mirror room installations. The aim is to highlight the unextracted potential of Iran's mines that have been impacted by sanctions while engaging visitors in a visually mesmerizing experience. A mirror was selected for the walls to create an illusion of a larger space and emphasize the shape. It also indicates the quantity of mines in Iran.

In our innovative pavilion, we have employed walls as captivating canvases to showcase a dynamic fusion of data visualizations and compelling marketing videos. These walls serve as interactive mediums, seamlessly blending the art of storytelling with cutting-edge technology.

Structure - Showcasing the materials

This structure hangs from the ceiling and extends from the booth floor, allowing us to address Mining house needs by showcasing their capabilities and items within our art, while occupying minimal space in the area.

Lights / Sounds- Interaction design

The suspended structure from the ceiling acts as a light source on top of the materials, causing them to shine. LED lighting within the mirrored space to create dynamic lighting effects that change over time. These lighting changes simulate the effects of sunlight and highlight the reflective surfaces, enhancing the visual experience. Incorporate subtle soundscapes of mining-related sounds, such as digging, machinery, and nature, to immerse visitors further into the experience. The sound was being triggered by visitors' movements at specific intervals.

Mining pits & AR- Showcasing the materials

Mining materials are presented by taking the shapes of mining pits and simplifying them into contoured surfaces. A QR code is stuck on each box, and by scanning it, the audience can learn more about each material through an AR experience.

Executed installation at EXPO

Ultimately, the construction project involving the pavilion in Iran was undertaken and carried out by the construction company responsible for erecting the entire Iran's pavilion structure.

Application wireframe & AR wireframe:

A website and mobile app were also introduced as part of the installation. The app encompasses details regarding Iran's diverse array of mines across the nation, the country's mining sector, geotourism attractions, ongoing mining projects, insights into the expo installation, and a dedicated investment segment. Within this investment section, potential investors have the opportunity to schedule B2B sessions with the reputable company, Iran Mine House.
